Origins: Eugene, Oregon
Coordinates: Portland, Oregon
Skating since: 2001
Filming since: I started filming almost immediately. Shooting photos began sometime around 2010.
Formal training: Nope. Autodidactic. I dropped out of college on day one—I was going to be a mechanical engineer (and still would love to do that).
Creative project you’re most proud of: Lifeblood Skateboards’ video We Must Bleed. We filmed it in three months, and edited it in 11 days. I loved every moment of it. What makes me proud is not just the final product—it’s everything. Everyone was synchronized on what the goal was, and we had a lot of experience from making previous videos. This one was the culmination of those years. It was incredible—we were all buzzing during the entire production. I will always be proud of that accomplishment.
Favorite thing about skating in the Northwest: Everyone is so awesome! So much energy and positivity. People are here to have fun on a skateboard.
Least favorite thing about the Northwest: The rain doesn’t bother me as much as it does other people, what with so many indoor spots and people being motivated to build new things all the time, everywhere. I cannot file a large complaint about skating in the Northwest!
